Abby Marks-Beale is the President of her own training and consulting company, The Reading Edge, which provides essential reading and learning skills to an extensive client list that includes busy professionals, educators and students.
 
 

Established in 1988 as speed reading training company, it has expanded to include other necessary skills for life-long learning, effective teaching and academic success. Abby's dynamic program design is based on accelerated learning and adult learning principles. Her corporate workshops, educator training and conference presentations are highly interactive, thought-provoking and immediately applicable to the real-world.

Abby is the author of several books. Her latest, "10 Days to Faster Reading," is due out Summer 2001 from Warner Books. Other publications include study skills books for the secondary, college and adult markets. Her text, "Study Skills: The Tools for Active Learning" (second edition due out Fall 2001) is not only used in classrooms nationwide but is also of great personal interest to educators and busy professionals returning to the classroom.
